If you have considered joining Arts of Snohomish, come by and see the gallery!
Arts of Snohomish (AoS) is an artist operated gallery in Historic Downtown
Snohomish. AoS is leasing 3000 square feet from the City of Snohomish in
the historic Carnegie Building and is ADA accessible. Are you ready to show
and sell your art at this exciting new venue? The application process is free!
What you get when you join Arts of Snohomish:
- A permanent public place to present and sell your artwork!
Downtown Snohomish is a local "destination" spot for Puget Sound residents.
Commissions will be kept at a minimum.
- The power of collective marketing! Ever imagine large newspaper ads,
direct marketing, radio, television? Collectively, now we can!
A permanent marketing committee will be working this issue throughout the
year.
- An opportunity to meet with and work with other artists!
Feel a little boxed in when working at your home studio?
Here is a place to get together and see what others are doing.
- Workshop Space! Have you ever considered offering the public or other
artists workshops? A space will be available to members for educational
activities.
- Workshops! Have you been looking to attend workshops with nationally
known artists? Here is your opportunity to do so at discounted prices.
- Studio Space! When the classroom is not being used for workshops,
it will be available to you and other members at no cost as day use studio
space.
- An excited and supportive business community. The business community
is excited about Arts of Snohomish and looks forward to supporting the
venture.
We have two classes of membership: Full Members and Limited Members. Full Members
are expected to contribute a minimum of 10 hours of work per month, preferably
including two "shifts" as cashier. Full Members get credit for all volunteer
hours and can easily reduce the commission they pay to the gallery to 25% of sales.
Limited Members don't work "shifts" but pay higher monthly dues and pay a fixed
40% commission on all sales.
The total number of members at any given time is tightly controlled, and Full Members
of course have precedence over Limited Members. In any case, Limited Membership
is on an "as available, first accepted" basis.
