Arts of Snohomish Proudly Presents
The Creative Process
Meet the Artists & Instructors
See a Collaborative Work Created
Sunday, March 7th, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 PM.

The students at Arts of Snohomish Gallery have been hard at work creating breath-taking pieces and are now ready to share them with art lovers abound. The Arts of Snohomish Gallery is proud to present “The Creative Process” Student Show which runs March 1st thru the 31st. Comprised of a variety of mediums, “The Creative Process” is a stunning display of up and coming talent.

On March 7th, from 2pm to 5pm, the public is invited and encouraged to take in the accomplishment of all the artists taking part in “The Creative Process”. Spend an art filled afternoon watching these talented artists at work, exploring the gallery, learning more about the classes offered at Arts of Snohomish and possibly take home a wonderful one-of-a-kind collaborative acrylic painting, created that afternoon, by the students featured in “The Creative Process” Show.

It is often a long and winding road that leads an artist to their calling and it is not without a few detours and forks in the road along the way, but once they have arrived, magical things begin to happen. Brenda Schaff began taking classes at Arts of Snohomish Gallery apporximately three years ago after she and her husband visited the gallery one afternoon. Her husband had suggested that taking a class might be a good diversion after their sons had enlisted in the military. The novice cartoonist has traveled the long and winding road and is now proud to display her pastel images in “The Creative Process”.

Malcom Moses, an acrylic artist, started taking classes at Arts of Snohomish about a year ago and while he still attends class on a regular basis, he is also a full-time gallery member. He credits the class and instructor Sue Dawson for helping to develop his art. “I have learned a lot of good techniques and a foundation of knowledge.” Visitors will not want to miss his contribution to “The Creative Process” or the pieces that are on permanent display in the Gallery. Dawson comments that Moses, Schaff and all the students taking part in the show are “…very committed to their classes and growing as artist.”

The classes offered at Arts of Snohomish Gallery include a course by multi-medium artist, Sue Dawson. Students have their choice of medium, oil, pastel or acrylics as well as subject matter. The class is informal and ongoing with emphasis on the joy of creating. Two sessions are offered, Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Thursdays for 3pm to 5pm. Each session is only $15. Joan Pinney and Allene Soshea, each an accomplished watercolorist, offer classes for those interested in developing their watercolor skills. Pinney offers a monthly, ongoing class, usually with a theme of subject and plenty of personal attention. Watercolor classes meet once a month, for six hours and cost approximately $40.00.

For information regarding classes offered by any of the instructors, please contact the gallery at (360)568-8648.

Arts of Snohomish Gallery sincerely thanks our our continuing sponsors
