Carol Noble Oil, Pastel - Originals, Prints, Cards Web site: www.noblefinearts.com E-mail: canoble@richpoor.net My goal with my art is to interpret the beauty and peace that surrounds us. I am always amazed at how most people don’t stop and appreciate, or even see the riches that God puts around us. The most important gift I can pass on is to teach my students and others to slow down and really look. Color, light, and contrast are what make the difference in a truly great painting, as shown by two of my favorite artists Vermeer and Caravaggio. Most of my life has been spent in the Pacific Northwest and I never tire of the scenery. I have been painting for 27 years, mainly in oils. Two years ago I discovered Pastels and love the immediacy and richness of the colors available. My work encompasses Seascape, Landscape, Floral, Portraiture and Animal life in both Pastel and Oil. |
